New Hope Network is proud to continue our Sustainability Program at Natural Products Expo West 2023. We recognize our trade show has an impact on the environment. Through our Sustainability Program, we are striving to identify, understand, and address these impacts to achieve continual improvement year after year.
We’ve chosen to remove the carpet from our live event experience. Removing Carpet will save 300, 354 sq. ft. of carpet, padding, and visqueen. 76% was returned to inventory but even with tremendous recycling and upcycling efforts, the carpet material usage was staggering. Also, by not shipping carpet to/from the show, we save on carbon emissions from transport.

What our sponsors did in 2022...
The "Plastic Rainbow" is an 85' art instillation made from 10,000 upcycled water bottles that would have been destined for a landfill. This art piece makes a big, beautiful statement about eliminating single-use plastic and will help to spread awareness about the need to clean up our water sources.
A huge thank you to our ACC and Hotel Offsetting Sponsor Danone who is allowing us to offset all of the water and electricity used during Natural Products Expo West in both the Anaheim Convention Center and our host hotels.
Zipline Logistics is sponsoring the water bottle refilling stations at Natural Products Expo West this year, so bring along your reusable water bottle or refill one you get onsite from one of our many exhibitors. In 2019, the water refilling stations helped avoid 6,538 plastic bottles from being used!

Show Bag Sponsor
Thanks to our sponsor Robinson Pharma, the Show Bag was made of rPET recycled plastic, approximately 2 plastic water bottles per bag! That's 20,000 plastic water bottles that have been reused to create our show bag - which can then recycled again once you remove the handles.
Lanyard Sponsor
Our lanyards were made of a post-consumer polyester waste called Repreve Polyester Fiber. This fiber is made of 100% recycled plastic water bottles. Thank you to the 2022 sponsor, YouTheory!

Our Partners
The Anaheim Convention Center has one of the most extensive sustainability programs in place. Check out all of the amazing efforts they have in place including- water reduction, waste diversion and social change.
(included) Partnership
New Hope Network values diversity and is taking steps towards creating more inclusive events and seeking new ways we can bring greater racial equity to the industry. We’re excited for our continued partnership with (included), a membership collective for BIPOC top executives in CPG who are dedicated to one another’s success, who advocate for diverse representation, and who commit to amplifying BIPOC voices. This exciting partnership guides multiple efforts at both Expo East in Philadelphia and Expo West in Anaheim and is a strong steppingstone in creating a long-term strategy for how our platforms can most effectively elevate BIPOC-owned brands in the industry. Highlights from these efforts include conference session collaborations, complimentary NPEV memberships for (included) members, networking events and onsite exhibit space and table top features.
J.E.D.I. Community Happy Hour at Expo West 2022
Many organizations have made it clear: we value diverse businesses and strive for an inclusive natural products industry. New Hope Network has heard those statements and Expo West is ready to activate on its Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) values. This opportunity was designed to breakdown some of the barriers in place for under-represented groups and was in partnership with (included), New American Table, JEDI Collaborative and Project Potluck. We look forward to elevating, celebrating and growing our diverse natural products community and all of the talent, voices and perspectives that make us who we are. Thanks to those who joined us for the J.E.D.I. Community Happy Hour at Expo West 2022!

Naturally Proud Network Happy Hour & Reception
The Naturally Proud Network Happy Hour was an opportunity for attendees to connect and fundraise for LGBTQ+ charities or non-profit organizations whose mission is to support LGBTQ+ community members. Over 300 attendees stopped by and the group was able to donate $5,000 to the OC LGBTQ Center! Thank you to all who came out to support!
