We are adhering to the CDPH guidelines for large events.
It was recently announced that California has lifted its mask mandate for indoor spaces in California. To ensure the health and safety of our industry, New Hope Network has made the decision to continue the mask requirement for all participants of Natural Products Expo West 2022 while indoors at the Anaheim Convention Center (ACC), Marriott, and Hilton.
Additionally, we require that all participants must either:
1) be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose) and provide proof of vaccination by completing a Health Check through the ShareMy.Health HIPAA Compliant platform.
2) Receive a negative antigen/NAAT COVID-19 test within 24 hours prior to attending the event, OR a negative PCR test within 48 hours, and provide proof of a negative result through the ShareMy.Health HIPAA Compliant platform prior to entering the venue.

We made the decision to host this event with the careful consideration of the health and safety of our community, and the local community in Anaheim. We partnered with an outside data modeling agency, Epistemix, the official partners of the CDC and the WHO, to model the risk associated with hosting the event and to determine ideal mitigation measures to ensure those who are able to join us in Anaheim are as safe as possible. Their forecasting shows that with our mitigation measures in place, including the sampling that will take place at the event, attending Expo West will be safer than participating in other community activities such as going to the grocery store, with risk reduced by 78%.
By creating and enforcing the health and safety and sampling guidelines for Expo West, we will be able to host the show safely and successfully for those who can and want to attend the event in person. With the endorsement of the California Health Department and Epistemix, we are confidently moving forward with the event and hope to see you there!
Epistemix data shows that B2B events like Expo West are not a significant driver of COVID cases in a given location (the most consequential factor is local vaccination coverage).
Natural Products Expo West is working with ShareMy.Health, a HIPAA compliant platform that allows attendees to comply with the health and safety protocols for this event, to help ensure the safety and well-being of their guests. In accordance with our event's COVID policy, participants will need to use ShareMy.Health to provide proof of vaccination showing the final dose received at least two weeks prior to initially entering the event OR upload a negative PCR/Rapid Antigen test taken within 48 hours (PCR) or 24 hours (Rapid Antigen) of initial check-in. All participants will receive an email from ShareMy.Health with instructions on how to provide proof of vaccination or negative test results.
Once the Health Check (proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test) is successfully processed by ShareMy.Health, you will receive a confirmation email and a Pink Palm Tree will be printed on your badge. Security will only allow those with the Pink Palm Tree to gain entry into the event. Safety Ambassadors, an extension of our Security Team, will be stationed through out the event monitoring for the Palm Tree as well as mask-wearing wherever appropriate.
For the safety of all attendees and staff, Natural Products Expo West is not able to accommodate any exceptions to the mask, vaccine or COVID-19 test policy. Anyone who is unable or unwilling to attend Natural Products Expo West due to this policy is encouraged to attend Natural Products Expo Virtual, the show’s official virtual platform, in which attendees will have the ability to request meetings with virtual and in-person exhibitors, view products and content within the virtual platform, as well as attend virtual tours and education sessions. ShareMy.Health is an online HIPAA compliant platform that accepts a screenshot of your vaccination card.
If you didn't receive the vaccine card or lost it, you can contact your vaccination provider, such as Rite Aid, CVS, hospital, or a local government office. If you can't contact your provider, reach out to contact your state health department’s immunization information system. All vaccination providers must report COVID-19 vaccinations to their IIS. State health departments will either email or mail a copy of your vaccination card, although it may take one to two weeks.
Participants are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen), or two weeks after receipt of another vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Participants must provide proof of a viral test (NAAT or antigen test) taken within 24 hours of the event. PCR and rapid COVID-19 tests are accepted if taken within 48 hours of the event. Please be sure to bring proof of your negative test result, dated and time-stamped.
At-home COVID test results will not be accepted at this time.
A limited quantity of rapid antigen tests will be available for Natural Product Expo West 2022 participants. Tests will be administered on a first come, first served basis in the Green Room located in the Hilton, level 2. Participants are welcome to utilize this onsite service but are strongly encouraged to come prepared with a negative test result or proof of vaccination prior to arriving to ensure a smooth and expedited onsite experience. Rapid antigen hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

PCR Tests for International Travelers
Natural Products Expo West has partnered with Hoag Corporate Health to provide convenient PCR testing and same-day results that can be used for international return travel. Hoag will have an on-site testing location for attendees to receive a PCR test and same-day result.
In order to ensure a smooth and expedited process, it is recommended that anyone requiring a PCR test register here prior to the event. After providing your specimen, your results will be provided via email and will contain all necessary information for your international travel.

Step 1: Click here to provide the necessary patient information and to schedule the day and timeframe for your test. In order to complete the registration process you will need to pay the $150 testing fee at the time of registration. You will receive a confirmation email confirming your registration and testing day and time.
Step 2: Once you have arrived at Natural Products Expo West, and based on your home country return travel testing requirements, report to the international PCR testing location at the Hilton hotel on the day and time that you selected when you registered for your test.

No, sampling is a critical component of the show. We’ll have two different categories of food sampling. The first category is a manufactured sealed sample which will not require any specific provisions, outside of the overall show policies. The second is an open sample (prepared or cooked) which must be served in individual portions and will require gloves, a facemask, a hairnet, a sneeze guard or food cover, and hand washing and sanitation kits. Attendees will be required to “Stop and Sample”. When sampling, they can remove or take their masks down, consume the product, and then immediately put their masks back on as they engage with the exhibitor to learn more about the brand and product offerings. Attendees must maintain distance from others while sampling with their masks down. Masks are required for all indoor locations except when actively eating or drinking while stationary. We’re all in this together and we must rely on each other to create the safest and most productive environment possible.
We are actively tracking the emerging news and science around the new Omicron variant. We will continue to monitor and adjust our plans and health protocols as necessary.
